MS TABLE TENNIS 2023
|
UPDATE: Friday, Dec. 8th JAMBOREE @ CI This Saturday, Dec. 9th I apologize if this wasn't communicated at practice, however, this final jamboree at Chadwick is "invite only". They suffered some broken tables, and were not able to host all players from all schools, so they gave a limit to how many players may attend. SIS has 12 players selected to attend. Those players have been informed. Sadly, not every player can attend. Players, please check your email for the invite, or to let you know that you do NOT need to attend and ride the bus. First Games start @ 9am Last Games end @ 1:30 - 2pm click here to see Host Information Letter The final schedule is still being completed NOTE: There will NOT be food sales at CI this Saturday. Players should eat in the morning and prepare some food to eat during the day. As well, players should bring their own WATER BOTTLE to refill. TRANSPORTATION INFO click here to choose your transportation option 1) BY BUS - Bus leaves SIS @ 7:30am 2) TRAVEL TO CI WITH PARENT/GUARDIAN - Arrive at CI @ 8:30am AFTER THE JAMBOREE The jamboree is expected to end around 1:30pm. The bus is then expected to return to SIS around 2:30 - 3:00pm (depending on traffic). IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PLAYING NEXT SEASON OR BEYOND, READ BELOW FOR NOTES REGARDING MS TABLE TENNIS THAT WILL APPLY TO THE WINTER 2022 SEASON. Athletes must be available to attend all events, so please carefully examine the season schedule and arrange your personal schedule so that you can go to all practices and both jamborees! It's important that student-athletes wishing to participate in MS Sports take the commitment to their team, players AND coaches, very seriously. Missing practice because of detention is not acceptable and will be dealt with individually. If a student wants to be part of the MS Sports Program, he/she must behave in a socially acceptable manner ("TIGERS" values) while at school. Missing practice because of make-up tests is not acceptable and will be dealt with individually. Students who wish to accept the role of "student-athlete" must understand that "student" comes first and take care of their studies accordingly. IMPORTANT NOTE: THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS TO WEARING EYEGLASSES DURING TABLE TENNIS EVENTS. *Safety regulations imposed by the MS Sports governing body, KAIAC, state that EYEGLASSES ARE NOT PERMITTED DURING THE FOLLOWING MS SPORTS: Soccer, Swimming, Volleyball, Basketball ALTERNATIVES: athletic goggles, contact lenses, or just remove the eyeglasses |
